RAW 2.1 Stephanie Opens RAW

Raw opens to the lights being off. The arena is empty. The camera pans around and sees no one in the audience. It’s quite.

The camera displays an arena that was once home to the raucous crowds and performers. The camera finally pans to the announce booth where Good’Old JR is sitting side by side with the King. The camera zooms in on the duo.

JR: Hello folks! We’re eagerly anticipating the arrival of Stephanie McMahon as she’s scheduled to welcome the WWE Universe back…

Suddenly the arena begins to light up. The empty arena has lights that light up, the stands had screens, as the screens begin to light up with faces. It’s the Thunderdome!

The tron lights up as we hear the mega country song play throughout the arena, “…Maybe next time he’ll think before he cheats…” Carrie Underwood walks out the curtain.

King: That’s not Stephanie!

Carrie has a mic in hand, as she marvels at the magnitude of the Thunderdome. All the faces in the audience are booing as Carrie continues to ignore their reactions. Carrie brings the mic to her lips to speak, “I’mmmmmm Baaaaaaaaccccckkkkkk!”

The crowd boos.

“It’s good to see all of you too!… Season two of Monday Night Raw is underway and what better way to start this night than with yours truly… me!… Last season I didn’t have such a good year, but this year… it’s going to be my year!… This year it’s going to be different!… This year…”

Stephanie’s massive head appears on the tron. If that wasn’t bad enough for Carrie, it’s looking menacingly down at her. Standing to the right of her is Pound-for-pound the most dangerous woman in wrestling, Ashley Graham.

“Carrie… I’m not sure what to do with you… you’ve disrespected me by coming out here and starting my show with you’re face. I’m not sure if you’re bold… or just stupid. I’ve tried punishing you and booking you in loser leaves WWE matches but… here you still are… you survive.”

Carrie looks up at the tron worryingly.

Stephanie continues, “I’m going to try something different with you. I wasn’t going to put you in the main event tonight but now I think I will. And you’re going to like it. Tonight, let’s see what you’re made of. I’m going to make the announcement in a bit but get out of my sight before I change my mind!”

Carrie dashes out of the arena like a mouse running from a cat.

Stephanie addresses the audience, “As you all are well aware, we’re in the middle of pandemic. But that’s not going to stop the WWE! I welcome you all to this incredible arena, the Thunderdome! Welcome back to the Monday Night Warzone! Raw is BACK!”

Stephanie isn’t waiting on an audience reaction. But they’re reacting favorably thus far.

The crowd cheers.

“Just to give you a quick recap since the last time we were together… At WrestleMania Kelly defeated Nicki and Bri to become the IC Champion in a 2/3 falls match, Carrie had a little concert, Brandi Rhodes buried the vampress, Ariel, I’m assuming she’s dead, Ashley here had a big night… Ashley destroyed Paige!… and she’s wiped her ass with Torrie’s pretty face!” Stephanie chuckles just a bit at this but continues on, “Lacey Von Erich led the Beautiful People to victory against Lana, and…” Stephanie gets a little bit more serious, “…well the Champion Trish Stratus successfully defended her title against an undefeated Torrie Wilson.”

“Some performers were not able to return due to the pandemic but that will be addressed at a later time…” Stephanie’s mood changes to lighter, “Tonight, I want to focus on our main event!… RAW tonight will be BIG! Tonight, we have a number one contenders match for Clash of Champions! Tune in tonight! Brandi Rhodes, Torrie Wilson, Nikki Bella, and Carrie Underwood will face off! Winner faces Kelly Kelly for the IC title at Clash!”

The crowd cheers.

“Now, let’s have some fun… Up next, a returning Angela will be in action and Carrie, you better watch your back because I don’t think Angela forgot about what happened last season.” Stephanie winks to the camera.
